Nature Art print 'Dragonfly Dreams'

Across cultures, the dragonfly carries many meanings, but I particularly liked its symbolism in Japan, courage and joy… a personal reminder to carry both, especially through the harder seasons. The wings are skeleton leaves I found from bottlebrush plants while gardening. I was so excited when I came across them, they felt like a hidden treasure. I used them as they are, letting their natural structure and lightness shape the form of the insect.

The piece also includes pink statice flowers that had dried from a friend's bouquet, adding another layer of meaning. Statice is often associated with remembrance and lasting connection, so incorporating it felt like a way of holding onto that gesture.
