The iconic Australian Fairy Wren, named "The Australian Bird of the Year 2021" is a much-loved little bird in beauty and personality. The Gunai people of the Coorong region call it 'Deeydgun' meaning 'little bird with a long tail'- a name that perfectly captures the iconic feature of the fairy Wren. The dried Birds of Paradise flowers served as the initial inspiration for his wings, and from there, the rest of the creation naturally unfolded.
