This piece uses sunflowers turned toward one another, posing the question: who do you turn to? Their faces meet instead of reaching outward, suggesting connection, support, and the instinct to look to those closest to us. Sunflowers often symbolise warmth, loyalty, and resilience, so their orientation here feels intentional, less about following the sun, and more about finding light in each other.

Above them, a dragonfly moves through the space, adding another layer to the work. I found these delicate skeleton leaves from bottlebrush plants and used them for the dragonfly’s wings, letting their natural texture shape the detail. Dragonflies often associated with change, adaptability, and self-realisation, it brings a sense of movement and reflection. Together, the elements suggest a quiet moment of looking both outward and inward, toward others for support, and within for growth.
